India extends foreign-visitor registration deadline to 180 days
Foreign individuals who wish to stay longer in India must now complete their registration "any time before the expiry of 180 days" from their arrival in the country.
Action required: Foreign individuals planning to stay longer than 180 days in India must complete registration before the 180-day deadline from arrival. Parents of children acquiring foreign citizenship while in India must notify the Registration Officer within 30 days.
