According to Dubai Police, electric scooters must be equipped with a white front light and reflector, a red rear light and reflector, and fully functional brakes before use on public routes. Riders are required to wear approved protective helmets and reflective vests, obey traffic signs and signals, and use designated scooter tracks. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, stressed that authorities will continue monitoring and stopping violators, stating 'Compliance with the law is not optional.'
