Al Taawun Street temporary closure for tunnel project — Sharjah motorists — from 13 June 2026
Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) will close Al Taawun Street partially from 13 June 2026 to construct the Al Taawun Tunnel, part of a road network upgrade. Motorists between Sharjah and Dubai must follow new diversions: traffic to Dubai and Al Nahda Bridge routes via Al Corniche Street; traffic from Al Nahda Bridge to Sharjah uses the new Al Taawun Street. You must follow directional signs, use designated alternative routes, and comply with traffic safety instructions during the construction period.
