Methodology

Scooped is an automated regulatory-intelligence engine. It monitors primary UAE sources, detects and classifies what changed, reasons over it into plain language — what changed, who it affects, what to do by when — and publishes each item linked to the original. Humans review the higher-stakes items. We're unusually open about this because, for a compliance audience, a transparent method is a stronger guarantee than a byline.

Why we publish the method

Most publishers hide how the sausage is made. We do the opposite: the value here is not a personality, it's a system that reads more sources, more consistently, than any single desk could — and shows its working. Every claim is traceable to a named regulator and a date; nothing is anonymous or unsourced. That is the whole point of the product.

What we monitor

We track official UAE sources: federal ministries and the Cabinet, sector regulators (for example the Central Bank, the Federal Tax Authority, securities and real-estate authorities), free-zone authorities, and the emirate-level departments. The list grows as new sources are verified. Every published item names the source it came from.

From source to story

  1. Gather. An automated pipeline checks each source for new publications — circulars, decisions, gazette entries, bulletins.
  2. Filter for signal. Most of what authorities publish is not a change a business needs to act on. A relevance step discards announcements, awards, and noise, keeping genuine regulatory signal.
  3. Classify. Each item is assigned a sector and a severity, and we extract whether it requires action and by when.
  4. Reason & write plainly. The engine produces the analysis in a fixed structure — what changed, who it affects, what to do, and by when — and pulls out the deadline. This reasoning layer, not raw retrieval, is the product.
  5. Human review on higher-stakes items. The pipeline is automated; a human reviews the higher-stakes items before they stand, and those carry a visible "human-reviewed" mark. Accuracy outranks speed.
  6. Publish & cite. The item goes live with the regulator named and the original linked, plus visible published and updated dates, and — where it aids meaning — a short verbatim quote of the operative language.
