Etihad Rail enforces passenger conduct code on dress, smoking and infectious disease

Etihad Rail has established a Passenger Charter setting mandatory conduct rules for all passengers in stations and on trains. Travellers must wear modest and appropriate clothing; transparent, revealing garments, and those displaying offensive images or slogans are prohibited. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes and vaping, is banned in all ticketed areas except designated zones. Passengers suffering from infectious diseases are prohibited from travelling. The rules also ban abusive or threatening behaviour, queue jumping, and the carrying of items posing safety risks. Commercial activities such as selling goods, advertising, or begging are not permitted without prior approval. Passengers must use electronic devices without disturbing others and must follow staff instructions on noise levels. Breaches may result in legal action under UAE law, removal from trains, and recovery of associated costs or damages.
