Etihad Tel Aviv flights cancelled and delayed due to Ben Gurion Airport strike

Etihad Airways flights to Tel Aviv have been disrupted following unplanned industrial action at Ben Gurion International Airport. Flight EY608 from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi was cancelled, while EY594 will operate with a limited number of guests. Flights EY597 and EY598 are delayed. The disruption was caused by a surprise staff strike that halted airport check-in operations. According to reports, the strike ended at 3 pm on Thursday after workers stopped all check-in counters around 2 pm. The strike was linked to operational difficulties, challenges loading and unloading aircraft, and a shortage of parking stands. Employees from four ground-services companies operating at the airport also stopped work. The disruption affected Ben Gurion's expected handling of around 100,000 travellers and 600 flights on Thursday. Etihad advised affected guests to ensure their contact details are up to date in the Manage My Booking section of its website to receive flight updates.
