The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has extended its conflict-zone information bulletin (CZIB) for the Gulf until September 30, warning of continued risks linked to the US-Iran conflict. The warning covers all altitudes and flight levels in the Bahrain, Kuwait, Doha, Emirates and Muscat FIRs. EASA recommends that operators do not fly over waters in the Arabian Gulf within the affected FIRs, except where necessary for arrivals and departures at airports in those FIRs.
Several UAE and international airlines are experiencing disruptions. Emirates has cancelled flights EK717 and EK719 to Nairobi, and delayed multiple flights including services to São Paulo, Bali, Glasgow, Antananarivo, Guangzhou and Newark. Etihad's Abu Dhabi-Bahrain EY641 is delayed. Air Arabia has cancelled four flights to Kuwait and Bahrain. International carriers including Air Canada, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, KLM, Philippine Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss have suspended services to UAE destinations through various dates in September and beyond.
Passengers are advised to check airline websites for latest flight status before travelling, arrive at least three hours before departure, complete online check-in where available, and keep contact details updated with their airline.
