Abu Dhabi private schools must offer tuition payment in 3–10 instalments

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has clarified its School Fees Policy, requiring private schools to divide approved fees into six components: tuition fees, educational resources fees, school uniform fees, transportation fees, extracurricular activity fees and other fees. Schools must exempt parents from fees for devices, textbooks, uniforms and other items when students use second-hand materials that meet school requirements. Schools are required to offer at least three equal instalments for tuition fees and may allow up to 10 instalments. Schools may collect the first instalment up to one month before the academic year starts. Schools must publish ADEK-approved fees and payment schedules on their websites with the Department's official stamp. The policy aims to establish transparent fee regulation, ensure fees remain accessible to different community segments, and clarify schools' fee structures and reasons for increases.
