CBSE opens registration for Class 12 re-exams in UAE from September 22

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a special re-examination opportunity for Class 12 students in the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries whose exams were cancelled in March due to regional tensions. The board's notification, issued on September 15 in compliance with a Supreme Court order, allows eligible students to reappear for exams in 40 subjects. Registrations open on September 22 and close on September 26, with no extensions expected. There is no fee for the retake, and subject changes will not be permitted once forms are submitted. Students who were absent for the original exams in March remain ineligible, as do candidates who had not registered for this year's main exams. CBSE will share exam dates and detailed timetables only after registrations close. Re-examinations will be held at centres where students originally registered, which may require those who have moved abroad to travel back to the UAE. Schools have indicated they are prepared to make arrangements for students taking the exams, with some offering refresher classes to support preparation.
