Dubai activates 150 ambulance points as schools reopen for 2026-27 term

Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has activated 150 ambulance points across the emirate ahead of the 2026-27 academic year. The preparedness plan aims to protect pupils, teaching staff and road users as traffic levels rise around schools during morning and afternoon peak times. The plan includes checks on field-team readiness, deployment of ambulance units and increased coverage near school areas, particularly during morning rush and dismissal times. Executive Director Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar stated the beginning of the academic year requires heightened readiness and coordination due to traffic pattern changes and increased congestion around schools. The 150 ambulance points will be staffed by specialist emergency medical personnel and supported by vehicles equipped with medical technology to respond to various emergencies.
