UAE Indian schools shift to continuous assessment for CBSE 2027 board exams

Indian schools across the UAE are moving away from isolated internal assessments toward continuous, competency-based evaluation as students prepare for CBSE 2027 board examinations. Schools including Woodlem Park School in Ajman and Shining Star International School are implementing structured preparation programmes from the start of the academic year, with regular mock exams, progress tracking and targeted intervention to identify learning gaps early. Board students in Classes 10 and 12 will sit preparatory exams starting in October, with practicals beginning in January and final board exams scheduled for mid-February. Schools emphasise that the focus is on building strong conceptual understanding and examination skills progressively rather than applying pressure months ahead of the boards. Term I examinations for younger year groups are scheduled to begin within two to three weeks, with some schools like Ambassador School Sharjah pushing internal assessments into October to allow families more time to return after the extended summer break.
