Flight delays, cancellations at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports amid regional tensions

Multiple delays and cancellations have been reported at Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi on Friday due to regional tensions. Airlines including Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, and flydubai are continuing to operate, but schedules remain subject to change. The UAE has suspended flights operated by Iranian airlines until further notice. Specific cancellations include Emirates flights EK330 to Manila, EK943 to Baghdad, EK404 to Melbourne, EK606 to Karachi, and EK390 to Phuket. Air Arabia has cancelled flights G9068 and G9124 from Sharjah to Kuwait, G9107 from Sharjah to Bahrain, and 3L020 from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait. Etihad reported delays on services to Bahrain, Kuwait, Riyadh, and Beirut. The disruption is not exclusively conflict-related; airlines are also reporting technical and operational delays. Passengers are advised to check flight status directly with their airline before heading to the airport and allow extra time at airports. International airlines including Air Astana, Philippine Airlines, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, Eurowings, British Airways, and Austrian Airlines have announced resumption dates from early October through December.
