Dubai launches Al Freej Gardener platform to regulate home gardening services

Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs have announced the launch of 'Al Freej Gardener', a digital community platform designed to regulate home gardening and landscaping services across Dubai. The initiative will provide residents access to qualified and licensed professionals through a regulated digital platform, enhancing service quality while reinforcing security and safety standards. Services will include home gardening, regular maintenance, irrigation system installation and maintenance, and agricultural consultancy, all accessible through a single on-demand digital platform via the Careem app starting in September. The platform will require participating gardeners and service providers to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Dubai Police will conduct awareness and field campaigns across residential areas, while the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs will provide guidance on visa and permit requirements for gardening professionals. The initiative reflects collaboration between government entities and the private sector to develop essential community services and support compliance with applicable requirements.
