Dubai whistleblowers can seek employment protection through Financial Audit Authority

Employees who uncover financial or administrative violations at organisations overseen by Dubai's Financial Audit Authority can apply for employment protection when they report wrongdoing. Reports can be submitted through the FAA's Nazaha platform, which provides a secure and confidential channel for reporting violations. Once an application is approved, the FAA may keep the whistleblower's identity confidential, request that the audited entity refrain from taking action against the employee, and ensure the employee is not subjected to discrimination or unfair treatment. The Authority may also seek the withdrawal of administrative decisions or disciplinary action imposed on an employee as a consequence of reporting the violation. The FAA's remit covers government departments, public agencies, special development zones, free zones, and companies owned by or in which the Government of Dubai holds 25% or more of share capital.
