UAE competition law filing fees now official under Cabinet Decision 105

The UAE Federal Cabinet has issued Cabinet Decision No. 105 of 2026, establishing official fees for competition law filings under Federal Decree-Law No. 36 of 2023. The decision takes effect on 29 July 2026.
Merger clearance requests incur a fee of 0.02% of total annual sales of all participating establishments, capped at AED 150,000. Exemption requests for restrictive agreements, dominant position, economic dependency and price reduction carry a flat fee of AED 5,000 each. Objections to economic concentrations cost AED 1,500, and grievances against decisions issued under the law cost AED 500 (refundable if accepted).
The fee structure fills an operational gap in the competition law framework. Deal teams should budget for these fees alongside other compliance costs, including audited financial statements and economic reports required for merger filings.
